According to the two companies, the combination of the Detego KPI analysis platform and shop management application with IER’s IoT (internet of things) tracking solutions will provide the best of both worlds: stock management at article level and real-time transparency throughout the entire channel.
“Knowing whether a single t-shirt is hidden on a shelf, in a shop, in transit or in a warehouse is crucial to providing the best possible customer service and can make the difference between making and losing a sale”, says Uwe Hennig, Detego’s CEO. “Retailers cannot achieve their omnichannel click and collect or same-day delivery targets without reliable information on stock and sales”.
Detego has already provided support to many retailers (including the largest clothing retailers in the UK) in going digital by using its software to analyse stock movement by means of RFID chips attached to goods. The results are almost 100% stock management reliability and a considerable reduction in shortages and lost sales.
IER Track & Trace supplies an RFID and IoT integration program of hardware solutions developed for warehouses and shops: mass chip reader gates, self-service RFID checkouts and terminals with 24/7 support. “Thanks to our partnership with IER, we want to use our software to improve item visibility for French retailers throughout Europe”, says Uwe Henning. “We are going to speed up the connectivity of clothing retailers and ensure that they go digital, which is essential on today’s market”. The Detego solution can be seen at the IER laboratory in Suresnes, where there is a mock-up of a connected shop (photo).
“By combining Detego’s real-time analytical software with retail applications, IER can guarantee integration throughout the entire chain for omnichannel retailers, from the warehouse to the shop and throughout delivery movements”, according to Christophe Agaësse, the director of IER’s Track & Trace business unit. “Our shared resources and our skills will multiply opportunities and benefits for our clients. Retailers expect the best possible offer at the best possible price. This partnership will make us a key player on this market.
